Media systems shape how society understands the world. They influence democracy, public health, social cohesion and our ability to make informed decisions.
Yet the people most affected by media systems — the public — rarely have a coordinated voice.
Touchpaper exists to change that.
By joining the Media Consumers Union, you help build a democratic community of media consumers working together to encourage higher media standards and a healthier information environment.
Members can:
- propose campaign ideas
- take part in discussions and consultations
- vote on which campaigns Touchpaper should run
- participate in collective consumer actions.
Every member has one vote, regardless of how much they contribute.
One member. One Vote.
Both individuals and organisations are welcome to become members of our union, and one organisation is still one vote.
Touchpaper campaigns are chosen democratically by members.
Together, we can organise media consumers to encourage better standards, better information and stronger democratic participation.
Join us and help shape the future of media.
